| Informa Systems develops e-Learning software tools, and we have existing contracts with many large US companies including Federal Express. One of the frustrations expressed by many of our existing customers is that the online learning does not work well for 'hands-on' learners (such as drivers and mechanics in FedEx's case) and the retention of the content is very poor. As a result of this need, in the past two years, we have developed an interactive tool called InformaVirtual that enables the creation of training in a virtual-world environment. With this tool the learner enters the virtual 'scene' and engages with the objects placed there. For example a mechanic could work on a virtual engine. This technology is designed for trainers and avoids the enormous costs of creating simulation-type training using game-based software tools. |
