Investment Services is a business unit of SATAI formed to coordinate the local, regional and national investment community, in order to provide capital to a pool of investable client companies. SATAI manages its Investment Services unit through the South Texas Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (STRCIC) for the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF).
The goal of Investment Services is to:
• Import Early-Stage capital to the San Antonio regional economy
• Stimulate technology-based private investment from existing regional resources
• Coordinate and support local sources of capital
Investment Services accomplishes this goal by operating the STRCIC and the South Texas Angel Network (STAN). STAN is a private investment group comprised of South Texas angel investors and high net-worth individuals. Investment services works directly with entrepreneurs and early stage companies to make qualified referrals to SATAI’s local, regional, national, and international network of venture capital funds and other private investors.
