Bio

Bruce Hughes currently serves as Project Manager, Technology Commercialization for SATAI. For the past 18 months he served a wide variety of clients, assisting them with strategic planning, patent research, market research, business planning, licensing, and technology valuation.

Bruce is also one of only twenty-two applicants certified by the national Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) as a Technology Counselor in 2008.

Prior experience includes starting and operating a software consulting business, Triagility, Inc., from 2005 to 2007. This seven-employee company provided software development and test automation services to companies including Conexant Systems, Motorola, Innovasic Semiconductor, and Azimuth Systems, Inc.

From 1994-2005, Bruce served in positions including vice president of engineering, executive committee member, engineering director, quality assurance manager, customer service manager, and software developer in a company operating as Digital Ocean, CHOICE Microsystems, Harris Semiconductor, Intersil, Globespan-Virata, and Conexant Systems. During this time, Bruce played a minor but crucial role in creating the Wi-Fi market, in which his company achieved a 90% market share in 2000.

Bruce is married to Susan K. Hughes, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Edwards Aquifer Authority, and they have one grown child. Educational background includes a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
